Lyophilised research peptides are generally more stable than the same materials in solution, but storage conditions still matter. Temperature, light, moisture and repeated temperature cycling can all affect material integrity.

Storing lyophilised research peptides

Store lyophilised research peptides refrigerated at 2–8°C. For long-term storage, store frozen at −20°C. Keep vials sealed and protected from light and moisture.

Why moisture and temperature cycling matter

Lyophilised materials are deliberately dried to reduce water-dependent degradation pathways. Repeated movement between cold and warm environments can encourage condensation if a vial is opened while still cold, introducing moisture to the material.

For laboratory handling, avoid unnecessary temperature cycling and keep the vial closed until the material is required for the applicable experimental protocol.
